Beyonce Knowles was named “Woman of the Year” by Billboard Magazine’s annual Women In Music Luncheon at The Pierre Hotel in New York City last Friday.

The Sasha Fierce star was accompanied to today’s ceremony by her parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams.

“I am the luckiest woman in the world,” the platinum-selling singer said as she accepted her award.

Two of the most controversial artists in the music industry Kanye West and Lady Gaga just unveiled the promotional video of their Fame Kills Tour.

The two are teaming for a 34 citiy tour of North America, kicking off in Phoenix on Nov. 10 and running through Jan. 24 in Dallas.  The tickets can go on sale in selected markets this Friday, September 25.

In the celebration of Britney Spears’ 10th year anniversary in the music industry, the Princess of Pop and Jive Records will be releasing a new Britney Spears Greatest Hits compilation later this year.

The 17-track Singles Collection will come in two editions – a standard version and the massive Ultimate Fan Box Set, which include each of the star’s 29 singles in its own slip sleeve case plus a DVD of her music videos.

Grammy award winner Alicia Keys and Spanish singer/songwriter Alejandro Sanz will team up on a single called Looking for Paradise. Keys and Sanz will be trading  lyrics in English and Spanish. 

The song premiered on a fan club members-only section of Sanz official site last  September 18.

Alejandro Sanz will release his new album Paraiso Express on November 10.

Dead By Sunrise is the name of Chester Bennington’s new band.  They will also launch their debut album Out of Ashes on October 13.

The band’s frontman, Bennington will not compromise his obligations to his other band Linkin Park.

“We’ll make records when we can,” Bennington — who started forming Dead By Sunrise, originally as Snow White Tan, in 2005 — tells Billboard.com. “I don’t think people should expect to see an album every couple of years. I’m definitely not going to tell Linkin Park, ‘Hey, can you guys take some time off so I can go work on Dead By Sunrise?’ That’s not gonna happen. But we definitely see this as something we’ll continue to do. This isn’t a one-time thing for us. Every five years or so I could imagine there’d be a Dead By Sunrise record.”
